‘King Protea’  – A 30 x 30 cm fine art print. (44 x 44 cm with mount). My friend Mike Clifford grows the most amazing Tropical Flowers and if you haven’t come across his garden yet, you should check it out on Instagram @mikesrareplants. This King Protea was flowering in his greenhouse, inspiring the original painting. Proteas are named for the Greek god Proteus, known for his ability to change into many forms; a fitting name for a flower that comes in many colours and shapes. It was stunning, and I knew I had to do a painting, I especially love the light reflecting on the leaves and stem through the glass of the greenhouse.
