‘Winter 4’ Fluid Art Landscape. A 50 x 70 cm canvas, much bigger than what I have been used to recently! Each winter landscape that I do, seems to evoke it’s own character, this one makes me feel cold and looks like a scrawny, bleak, barren landscape from a forgotten forest! I had to work hard with this painting, it wasn’t easy but it was worth it for the movement in the sky and the wispy clouds that seem to be moving in the icy breeze. I normally only do one tree, or may be two, however here I have created a barren forest with trees that have been bitten by frost and need the warmth of spring to bring them back to life. The effect of the silicone is a bit bonkers, but somehow it looks like snow on rocky ground and with a few blades of spindly grass drawn in your eyes put in what isn’t there, only negative space. I hope you like this painting as much as I do, for me a painting has to have it’s own personality or at the very least make you the viewer feel something. To buy this painting click here
